This is a bit of show and tell… I finished this trail marker triangle quilt the other day, after months of it hanging in the wardrobe begging quilting. It’s a quilt for my son, who had a great time helping me pick out the fabrics.
I originally got the design idea when I saw this quilt by Ashley of Film In The Fridge. She has a great tutorial on how to knock this one together. It really is a very simple pattern and would be great for a beginner.
I backed it with a gorgeous delph blue linen and binding is a mixture of Anna Maria Horner Good Folks and Denyse Schmidt Picnics and Fairgrounds.
I love triangles at the moment and of course, as I’ve already said, I’m addicted to mixing low volume neutrals…so I’m really happy with the finished product and my son is stoked to have this on his bed…at last. It brightens up his somewhat tiny little room.
